Anthony David Gonzalez, a former American tight end, played for 17 seasons in the National Football League. Considered one of America's best tight ends, he holds the NFL record for the most receiving yards of all tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked as the third-highest player in terms of number of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst for FOX sports studio. Gonzalez has been on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame program preceding FOX NFL SUNSET) and is broadcast every Sunday at 11:00AM ET through the NFL season.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire in the NFL at the end of the year 2013 wasn't true. The 15th of March, 2013 Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14,000,000. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader of receiving yards in his final season.
